Our counselors can give you support, assist you with practical things, and give you information about abuse. In general, they can provide you with information about available services and alternatives. They can also give you referrals to community resources.
You can receive referrals to emergency medical and dental care.
Yes you can, and if you have children they can come with you. Our shelter provides services to abused women and their children regardless of their nationality, race, creed, socio-economic status, mental or physical disability, or sexual orientation.
Once you are at the shelter you can receive help from our child care workers. If you have to go to the hospital, court, or other emergency, your children can stay at the shelter with our staff. We have licensed childcare that you can access.
We have private family rooms, but women without children are asked to share rooms. If you are coming with your children you are going to get a bedroom to share with your children only. If you are single you will share a room with other single women; the maximum number of single women in a room is 3.
